This Cookie Policy explains how CheckedBy (Pty) Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies at checkedby.org. By using the Platform, you consent to the use of the technologies described in this Policy.

2. What Technologies We Use

CheckedBy uses a minimal set of technologies — only those necessary for the Platform to function and for security and quality monitoring. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies that share data with advertising networks.

Sentry	Performance / Analytical	Error monitoring and session replay. Captures approximately 10% of sessions and 100% of error sessions to assist with platform debugging. Sensitive inputs (passwords) are masked. Data retained for 90 days.

3. Strictly Necessary Technologies

Database authentication cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They maintain your authenticated session and cannot be disabled through cookie preferences without preventing access to your account. These are first-party cookies served under the checkedby.org domain.

4. Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise v3

We use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise (v3) on registration and form submission pages. Unlike visible CAPTCHA challenges, reCAPTCHA v3 runs in the background and assigns a risk score based on your interaction patterns. It collects IP addresses, hardware and software information, referring URLs, and user interaction data. This data is transmitted to Google for analysis. By using the relevant forms, you consent to this processing. Google's Privacy Policy applies to this data: policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Sentry

We use Sentry for error tracking, performance monitoring, and session replay. Sentry captures approximately 10% of user sessions and 100% of sessions where an error occurs. This data helps us identify and resolve bugs and performance issues on the Platform.

Session replay records page interactions to help reproduce issues. All text inputs, passwords, and sensitive form fields are automatically masked in replays. Sentry data is retained for 90 days.

6. Future Technologies

CheckedBy may in future implement additional analytics and advertising technologies, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, and Meta (Facebook) Pixel. These technologies are not currently active on the Platform. When implemented, this Cookie Policy will be updated and, where required by applicable law, consent will be obtained before these technologies are activated.

7. How to Manage Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete existing cookies. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using the Platform's authenticated features.
